About us
The North London CVS Partnership (NLCVSP) is a partnership between the four North London Councils of Voluntary Service in the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield, Haringey and Waltham Forest. The NLCVSP aims to benefit the voluntary and community sector and the communities it serves, by working strategically at a sub regional level for local benefit.
Background of the partnership
In 2005 the CVS in Barnet (CommUNITY Barnet formerly known as BVSC), Enfield (EVA), Haringey (HAVCO) and Waltham Forest (Voluntary Action Waltham Forest) joined in partnership, forming the North London CVS Partnership (NLCVSP).
The Chief Executive of each member CVS sits on the partnership which is supported by the Sub Regional Coordinator, the Communications Coordinator and the Workforce Development Coordinator. It is funded by London Councils and Change Up and is hosted by CommUNITY Barnet.
What does the partnership do?
The NLCVSP:
- Works strategically at a sub regional level
- Facilitates sub regional partnership and collaboration
- Shares good practice and resources among infrastructure bodies
- Informs sub regional policies and strategies to ensure the sector is included in them
- Levers funding into the sub region, accessing funds not available locally
- Works with key sub regional organisations, NLSA and LSC
The NLCVSP aims to benefit the voluntary and community sector and the communities it serves, by working strategically at a sub regional level for local benefit. The partnership is active in working with other key organisations and agencies serving the community across North London.
