This network consists of managers from the Volunteer Centre in the sub region. They come together to share information and good practice and look at ways of raising issues affecting North London to higher levels.

A volunteering service for Waltham Forest
Voluntary Action Waltham Forest will be providing a volunteering service initially until March 2011. If you have a voluntary position to offer, you can can advertise it for all to see. We have a website in place which allows organisations to submit opportunities directly to it, and also allows individuals seeking voluntary positions to search for a position.
We will also be providing advise and support for organisations wishing to take volunteers, to help them get systems and procedures in place to make them ready.

New website launched
The 15th March 2010 marked the launch of expertsinvolunteering.org.uk, a free resource for anyone who manages volunteers.
The newly launched website, expertsinvolunteering.org.uk, offers support to volunteer managers and incorporates the various elements of the Experts in Volunteering project.
Organisations can sign up to the London Volunteer Management Charter online, and one of GLV’s Experts in Volunteering Team will arrange a visit, empowering them with ways to improve their volunteer management practices and processes.
On the training section of the website you can find out what training is being offered by Volunteer Centres across Greater London as well as possibly registering yourself as an ‘expert’ (a trainer, consultant or volunteer centre worker with track record in volunteering matters).
Working through the Volunteer Centre network across Greater London, the Experts in Volunteering team reaches out to support a diverse range of volunteer involving organisations who are core to our community.
